Evil Grape Dilemma

I love grapes.
Buying grapes now, in British spring, requires and supports the environmentally insane airshipping of southern hemisphere produce to London’s outlets. Leaving the grapes on the shelf without a purchase, however, makes all that damage to oil reserve and environment in vain; the damage has already occurred at the time I decide whether to purchase the evil grapes.
Refusing to buy them won’t make a difference. If we all did so that would make an impact, but this is not going to happen, is it? On the other hand, resignation is a poor excuse. On the third hand, we wouldn’t want to live on local produce alone, November to June with apples, carrots and cabbage.
So, what should we do?
